My husband and I are on the road, in Albany, NY. First time I've been here. Parts of it reminds me of Dorchester... where Dad is. Miss him lots! What's sad is that the big Cordova family reunion is this weekend, and we are unable to attend. Just one of those "bad timing" things; the Albany trip was booked long before I learned about the reunion. Ah, well... one of these days, the stars will line up and we'll all be together! Today I received an email from a lady named Ida, who tells me that my father was her first boyfriend, when she was 14 years old. She is now 69. All these years, she tells me, she just KNEW that my dad was still alive. I haven't had the chance to speak with her yet, but I quickly returned her email, letting her know that I'll definitely be in touch... I am so curious to hear what he was like as a teenager!
