I talked on the phone with Leslie, my father's case worker today. He says that Dad is holding his own. No signs of his memory worsening. Also, because of the rough winter weather in Massachusetts, Dad has been staying in the house more, as opposed to his normal routine of going out early in the morning to walk around the neighborhood, take his classes and hit his favorite, um, establishments. Happy New Year!

Happy New Year to everyone! I have a feeling that 2011 will be a momentous & joyful one for me, my father and the Cordova family. Reunions with long lost relatives and meeting others for the first time are in the stars. I feel positive that the happiness of these events will outshine the shadow of Alzheimer's. I am grateful that its progression is slow. I have a feeling that I'll be able to enjoy my father's wit and his love for a few more years, at least!
