Yesterday
was, of course, Presidents Day, and I had a very productive day off. I
literally spent six solid hours in front of my computer, working on the revisions for "Finding My
Father." Since I've reconnected with his family, there is a lot more to
the story since I published the ebook version. They were able to fill in
some of the holes in my dad's past, as well as opening new doors of

Valentine

I sent my father a Valentine card right ON Valentine's Day. He should receive it today... better late than never! It was really hard for me to find an appropriate one to send him. There really is a serious gap in the greeting card market when it comes to Valentines for Dads! There are lots of cards for Moms, and some "To Mom and Dad," but the few Valentines for fathers are either cartoon ones for kids to give "To Daddy" or really sentimental ones that say things like "Thanks for always being ... Birthday Card

I got a birthday card from Dad last week. It was actually a Christmas card. He crossed out "Merry Christmas" and scrawled "Happy Birthday" in his trademark chicken scratch. I got the biggest kick out of that! Alzheimer's may have stolen more than its share of memories from him, but my dad never has forgotten that his little girls birthday is January 31st!
